having seen into the future…

…the world collapses.

Sparked by Lecoq’s® provocation ‘people who believe in nothing and make fun of everything’,
bouffons emerge from the night, the heavens, the gutters, in a procession to the beat of drums
to share with us the truths and secrets of an all-telling mirror.

Discover the limitless boundaries of the grotesque, the art of mockery
and satire and the importance of ensemble-based research.
Students will engage with the bizarre and fantastical through the creation
of the bouffon as the ultimate 'soothsayer' in a contemporary setting
and experience the whole body as a mask through which
they can tell profound truths of our society.
